George Bell Hockey Association

The George Bell Hockey Association (GBHA) is a long-standing community hockey organization in west Toronto dedicated to offering safe, inclusive, and development-focused hockey programs for children and youth. Serving players from approximately ages 4 through 20, we emphasize skill-building, teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game within a supportive community environment.

Our programs bring together families across the community, including newcomers and long-time residents, to share in a positive, character-building hockey experience.

What We Offer

Learn2Skate & Initiation Programs
Our Learn2Skate program introduces skating fundamentals to new skaters of all ages. From there, the Initiation Program provides a fun and supportive first step into hockey, using age-appropriate ice formats to help young players develop balance, skating skills, puck control, and comfort on the ice.

Competitive Development Program (CDP)
For players ready for the next level, our Competitive Development Program offers increased structure, more frequent practices, and regular games against similar competition. CDP helps players refine skills, build game awareness, and develop physically and mentally as young athletes.

House League Hockey
Our House League program is the heart of community hockey at GBHA. Players in age groups from U10 through U18 participate in weekly practices and games designed to build skills, teamwork, and confidence. Goalie development and skill sessions are also available to support player growth throughout the season.

Select & “A” Teams
For players seeking a more competitive environment, we offer Select and “A” level teams. Select teams typically practice once or twice weekly and compete against teams across the city, while “A” teams train and compete more intensively, including tournament opportunities.
