Silver Blades - Pre-CanSkate Program
Silver Blades offers Skate Canada–certified Learn to Skate programs for children ages 4–12, including Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Caregiver & Pre-CanSkater, and the Bridge Program for skaters advancing toward figure skating. Certified Skate Canada coaches deliver structured 50-minute lessons designed around the three FUNdamental areas of skating: Balance, Agility, and Control.
Skaters are grouped by ability and progress through six development stages, earning ribbons and badges as skills are achieved. Helmets are mandatory for all CanSkate levels, and caregivers must remain on-site for skaters under 12.
These sessions include warm-up, station-based skill development, coach-led progressions, and a fun cool-down. Skaters are evaluated continuously, with report cards issued twice per season.
