About
Camp Argo is a unique, week-long summer rowing day camp designed for youth ages 11–16, offering an exciting introduction to rowing in a safe, supportive, and confidence-building environment. No prior rowing experience is required, and campers do not need to be members of the Argonaut Rowing Club to participate.
Each camp day runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and typically includes two on-water rowing sessions (weather permitting), rowing machine training, field games, and indoor activities such as crafts and board games. Campers learn fundamental rowing techniques, terminology, balance, and teamwork while developing strength, coordination, and self-confidence. More experienced rowers have opportunities to refine and improve their technique.
Safety is a top priority. All on-water activities are supervised by experienced coaches in fully equipped motorized safety boats. Coaches hold valid police background checks, First Aid & CPR certification, and Learn-to-Row coaching credentials.
An optional After Care program is available daily from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, offering games, structured activities, and time for individual pursuits.
Camp Argo builds skills, friendships, leadership, and a lifelong love of sport — all while spending unforgettable summer days on the water.
